Sankofa is a research-oriented social page to inform and engage users about our ongoing research project. Sankofa is on a mission to unearth indigenous practices applied historically for marine conservation to explore synergies with current conservation practices informed by science for sustainable, inclusive and equitable marine resource management in Africa. Furthermore, Sankofa aims to highlight the perspectives of women and men in small-scale fisheries for gender-sensitive interventions for gender equity. You can read more about our research here.
